Hailing from Louisiana with a touch of Georgia peach flavor, Verlisa Wearing blends a dash of spice and an abundance of Southern Hospitality into everything she sets out to accomplish. With an innate understanding of the power and importance of personal narratives, Verlisa has built platforms that empower individuals to break through the barriers that silence their voices and hold them back from reaching their full potential.

With 19 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry, Verlisa honed her skills working with, managing, and entertaining diverse groups of people from around the globe. This rich experience inspired her to create a platform centered on collaboration and partnership rather than competition. It’s this philosophy that shapes the RiseHer Network, where women from all walks of life come together to uplift and support one another.

Rooted in her faith, the RiseHer Network was birthed from a dream that Verlisa vividly recalls—where she not only saw the entire layout of this impactful network but also heard these transformative words: "You will not stretch my people. You will give everyone the opportunity to show their creativity and share their expertise with the world." Guided by this vision, the RiseHer Network is committed to ensuring that every individual has the chance to shine.

Verlisa's motto, "Live a life that outlives you," speaks to her belief in leaving a legacy that endures beyond one's time. She passionately believes that everyone has the ability to create a meaningful impact by sharing their voices, stories, and expertise to address and resolve pressing global issues such as racism, inequality, social injustice, financial empowerment, and women's empowerment/equality.

A true testament to resilience and perseverance, Verlisa has overcome numerous challenges and obstacles, many of which were self-inflicted. Her journey reflects her belief that brighter days are always ahead. As a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Verlisa learned to face challenges head-on, always seeking the "silver lining" to find resolutions. As an Ordained Minister, she understands that even in the most uncomfortable, unfair, and challenging moments, everything works together for good in the end.

In her role as a CEO, Verlisa has created a platform that provides others with the freedom to share their stories in a way that resonates and impacts the world. As a Coach, she consistently reminds others that their past does not define them, and their mistakes are not their identity. Instead, these experiences can be the foundation upon which they build a future filled with purpose and positivity—turning life’s lemons into lemonade.
